Who we are
Hi, I’m Rebecca Kilby—founder of The Seasonal Edit Co., a small, woman-owned business based in Virginia Beach, where I was born and raised. I believe your home should be your calm, your comfort, and your safe place—and sometimes all it needs is a little refresh, or what I like to call a seasonal edit.
I studied Psychology at VCU, where I learned how deeply our environments affect mood, stress, and overall well-being. That understanding, paired with my natural love for organizing and helping others, inspired me to build a business focused on more than just tidying up. I help people reconnect with their spaces through thoughtful refreshes that feel lighter, calmer, and more functional.
My biggest inspiration and mentor is my grandmother, Suzanne Koonce—Gigi to me—the owner of Refreshing Spaces, a professional organization and design business. She has been my teacher, motivator, and guiding force, and I’m proud to work alongside her as a grandmother-and-granddaughter team. As her first grandchild, learning from her and building something together is incredibly special. We are both Virginia Beach born and raised, and our shared love for helping others feel at home runs deep.
I’m fast, efficient, and hardworking, and I approach every project with care, warmth, and zero judgment. No space is ever “too messy” or “too far gone.” I’m flexible, accommodating, and ready to take on projects in any stage—meeting clients exactly where they are. Creating a comfortable, supportive experience is just as important to me as the final result.
Hospitality has always been a part of my life. My mother owned Graze Kitchen and Catering here in Virginia Beach and continues to cater in the area, and I was raised around service, attention to detail, and making people feel welcome. That foundation shapes how I show up for my clients every day.
At The Seasonal Edit Co., I believe in creating spaces that grow with you. Whether it’s a small reset or a full home refresh, my goal is always the same: to make your space feel more peaceful, more personal, and more like you.
